Our Favourite Looks from NYFW

// by Francesca Salisbury //

Just as the cooler weather sets in, New York Fashion Week has been teasing us with the best SS19 Ready-to-Wear trends. Check out our favourites below…

1. Marc Jacobs

This vintage-inspired vinyl will no doubt cause a plethora of yellow rain macs to hit the high street.  The addition of net gloves, bow-toed heels and a demure handbag is a very ladylike nod to the 1950s and beyond.

2. Nanushka

You can’t go wrong with an LBD, and this one from Nanushka hits the spot with its leather-look finish, tie waist and high collar.

3. Gabriela Hearst

The pantsuit isn’t going anywhere for SS19. Head’s up: this vibrant pink is everywhere on the catwalks.

4. Oscar De La Renta

This is just one of the many show-stopping dresses that made it’s debut on the ODLR runway. Full skirts and structured bodices are definitely having a moment.

5. Carolina Herrara

This collection was inspired by Mrs. Herrera herself. It celebrates flamboyance, colour, vibrancy and vicaciousness, but there are also some more demure looks peppered in amongst the polka dots and floral prints.

6. Zimmerman

Effortlessly chic with a colour story close to perfection. This might just be my favourite NYFW look.

7. Boss

These delicate rosy pink shades were all over the runway, but Boss went the extra mile and dressed their models head to toe in the colour, accented with white and burgundy accessories.

8. Michael Kors

So this is a bit of a love-hate combination, but I’m a fan the summery poolside vibes these patterns are exuding.

9. Dianne Von Furstenberg

Snakeskin is already a big AW18 trend, and it’s set to make a comeback in this gorgeous wrap dress from Dianne Von Furstenburg.

10. R13

An edgy take on florals that could inspire your winter wardrobe too.
