Lust List #22 – Transitional Pieces

// by Gemma O’Sullivan //

Over the past few weeks, the weather in Oxford has been pretty temperamental to say the least, so we’ve put together some of our favourite pieces to see you through the changing seasons. As ever, let us know what you think!

1. The Midi Skirt

MONKI: Midi Skirt, £25

Perfect for both formal and day looks, pair a midi skirt with heeled or flat sandals. We absolutely love this button-down, printed one from Monki; we’ve chosen the monochrome faces pattern, but they have loads of choices. Bonus: it has pockets!

2. The Graphic Tee

THE PRAWN SHOP: Waiting For You Tee, £14

There’s nothing easier to throw on during the changing seasons than a printed tee. Pair with slouchy trousers or mom jeans and a chunky belt for an effortlessly cool look.

3. The Slouchy Trousers

TOPSHOP: Rainbow Slouch Trousers, £39

Add a pop of colour to your outfit with these high-waisted wide-leg trousers from Topshop. Perfect for when it’s too cold for a skirt but too warm for tights, pair them with platform trainers and a fitted tee.

4. The Jacket

EMERGE CLOTHING: Track Jacket, £39.99

If the past week has showed us anything, we’re not past the cold weather quite yet. Jackets rather than coats, however, are your best friend over the next few weeks.

5. The Blouse

PRETTY LAVISH: Wrap Tie Blouse, £38

Too cold for a vest, too warm for a jumper; blouses are therefore your go-to formal piece. Wear with black skinny jeans and block heels for an easy dressed-up look.
