Lust List #15: Ultra-Violet

// by Gemma O’Sullivan //

After 2017’s somewhat unwearable ‘Greenery’, Pantone announced the colour of 2018 – Ultra Violet, a lush purple shade. Here’s how you can wear the new colour of the year.

1. The Dress

Mango: Floral Pattern Dress, £19.99

This midi length floral dress with button up detailing is a perfect example of the kind of statement Ultra Violet can make. Wear with heeled boots for extra glam, and if dresses aren’t quite your thing, Mango also has a blouse in this pattern.

2. The Boots

Topshop: Harp Patent Ankle Boots, £85

These boots are the ultimate statement shoe and would look great with flares or a midi dress! The angled heel and square toe are giving us serious retro vibes.

 3. The Sweater

Zara: Sweater With Draped Sleeves, £7.99

Probably the easiest way to wear this colour, pair with black skinny jeans or over a mini skirt with boots. We love the draped sleeves!

4. The Earrings

Boohoo: Leah Bar and Hoop Earrings, £5

Tassel earrings have been absolutely everywhere recently and are such an easy way to add Ultra Violet to your look. If you don’t want to make a big statement, it’s a subtle way to add a pop of colour.

5. The Mules

Topshop: JULIETTE V-Cut Mules, £39

Add instant 80s glam to any outfit with these satin mules. Wear with an LBD for the evening, or dress down with jeans and a blouse for the day.
